Tech Offerings

Overview

The D.C. Center is a joint initiative between Accenture and PeopleShores, designed to develop underrepresented talent for roles in the tech industry. Through an 12-month program, the center combines 4 months of intensive technical training with 8 months of real-world consultancy experience. In partnership with Per Scholas, a nationally recognized training organization, the D.C. Center leverages their instructors and curriculum, which has been vetted and signed off by Accenture to align with industry standards and project needs.

Program Structure

The program is structured in two distinct phases.

Technical Training (4 Months)

Apprentices complete a curriculum developed by Per Scholas and adapted with Accenture’s input, ensuring alignment with the skills and competencies required for their future roles.

Consultancy Phase (8 Months)

Following their training, apprentices transition to consulting roles on Accenture teams. This phase focuses on applying learned skills in real-world scenarios with the goal of securing full-time offers by the end of the program.

Apprentices at the D.C. Center are paid employees from the start of the program. Their standard working hours are 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, mirroring a professional environment to prepare them for their consulting roles.
